Piercing AfterCare Instructions

- Avoid touching the new piercing so that exposure to germs is reduced.
- Always thoroughly wash and dry your hands before touching your piercing, or wear nitrile gloves when cleaning it. Clean your piercing with saline spray.
- Oral piercings like lips, cheeks and Tongue you should use antiseptic mouthwash.
- No oral sex for at least 2 weeks as the exchange of bodily fluids may increase the risk of infection.
- Polyps can appear on new piercings and this is usually because of accidentally knocking the piercing site or pressure. To try and avoid them keep it clear of obstacles. If one does occur you can reduce it with making a paste out of aspIrin (mix a crushed aspirin with a drop of water) and apply the paste to the affected area for an hour a day. This should reduce the size within 2-3 weeks.
- Avoid drinking alcohol for 4-5 days after recieving your piercing as it can promote bleeding and increase swelling.
- Smoking with oral piercing will slow down the healing process so you should stop until it's healed if possible.
- Please No tanning, fake tanning, avoid body lotions and makeup or anything else instructed by the piercer.

Healing Times:

Ear lobes Piercings Takes 6-8 weeks to heal depending on how well they are cared for. Clean the piercing with a saline solution 3x a day and gently rotate the jewelry. Cotton swabs or pads, Q-tips are recommended since they are gentle to your skin.

Ear Cartilage Piercings Takes 4 months to a year to heal or longer. Try avoid using headphones and avoid getting your hair in your piercings and hair products as it will take longer to heal.

Oral Piercings Takes 8-12 weeks to heal The first few hours will be uncomfortable because your tongue will swell and you are not used to having foreign object in your mouth. Use Antiseptic mouthwash after you eat and smoke or vape.

Facial Piercings Takes 12-16 weeks to heal When cleaning the nostrils spray saline on outside and inside. Bacteria can build up on the inside so its important to clean inside. Be careful when blowing your nose.

Nipple Piercings Take 6-8 weeks healing

Belly Piercings Take 6-12 months healing. Clean with the antibacterial soap and saline solution. Get a cup and put saline in the cup and make a suction between cup and belly button by leaning over and soak the area.
